Our awesome soccer player!!!!

Wow, did Connor ever come out to play soccer on Saturday! We've never seen him play so well. We think he must have been showing off for his Aunt Kimmie and cousins Grayson, Carleigh & Al!!! He was kicking the ball so hard & running so fast! Kevin was our photographer today, & he was able to get some GREAT shots of Connor!

Here are a couple shots of great action shots of Connor!

Here he is with Anna Reed. It looks like they are holding hands in the 2nd picture!

And he shoots & scores! What great pictures that Kevin was able to get! I love them!

Another great action shot!

Connor getting ready to throw the ball!
I think this is my favorite shot of the day! If you click to enlarge the picture, you can see Connor's concentration on the ball! And, he is doing something silly with his tongue!

Friday fun snacks!

Today was Myles turn to bring Friday fun snacks. Since the weather has been really nice here and feeling like fall, I thought I would try and find a recipe that would be perfect for this time of year. I found a recipe for pumpkin shaped rice crispy treats with candy corn, Indian corn & chocolate chips! I added the candy corn face because I didn't think that they really looked like pumpkins. I received an email from Mrs. Konecni saying that they were a big hit! Next time I will use a different kind of cookie cutter. The one I have has plastic on the top of the metal which makes cutting out the boys' sandwiches easier, but I think as far as having a good shape for the rice crispies a solid metal one will work best. The boys kept asking last night if they could "taste test" them, but I told them no because I wasn't sure how many my recipe would make. Well it made exactly 21, which is what I needed! Since I didn't have any left over, I have promised the boys that we'll (probably just me & Kevin due to the new Wii game) make them Saturday! Of course, Myles usually loves to help make snacks, but he, like Connor, was glued to the Wii so my other bestie in the house, Kevin, helped me out!!!

The rest of BEAR week!

Connor's Bear Week has come to an end today! All week long he has been learning about bears. First he had to decorate a bear. He then took gummy bears to school where they used them to graph (and I hear that they ate them too!). He also was able to take a bear to school for the week! The festivities ended today with a nice snack with bears and stories! He had so much fun!

Here is Connor with his bear that he/we decorated!

Here is Connor outside today at the bear snack! We made the trail mix last night for his class. Connor usually loves to help make snacks but since he & Myles got the new Star Wars Forces Unleashed game with for the Wii, I ended up making the mix myself! He had lots of fun this afternoon!

Here is Connor's sweet bear hanging on the hallway at school!

School pictures!

The boys had school pictures on Wednesday. Kevin snapped some pictures before they left. They look so handsome!

Connor & Myles~ Best friends!

Individual pictures~ Connor & Myles

Now, here is what they looked like afterwards! Connor's nice looking button up shirt was orange & was immediately taken off when he got into the van! Myles, who is usually nice and neat in the afternoons, had his shirt untucked! But, it was still white! I'm very thankful for Shout!

Baseball game again!

Myles had another great baseball game Tuesday night. It seems like he's getting used to Coach Pitch, and he LOVES it! Sometimes as I am watching him I'm just amazed at him as a little ball player! He is so fierce out there never realizing that he's the smallest one! It's also a bittersweet time for me because it makes me realize that my dad is missing him play ball. There is no doubt that my dad would be so proud of him! Baseball just reminds me so much of my dad because he loved it!

Myles' first at bat~He's making sure his knuckles are lined up! He sure has learned a lot from Kevin!

And he hits it again! But, he was thrown out at first. We're so proud of him for getting the bat on the ball!

Here's Connor cheering Myles on!

Myles' second at bat! Boy was this at bat incredible! He fouled off so many balls. It must have been 9. He was staying alive! And then, he HIT the ball and ended up on 2nd base! That's right~His first DOUBLE!!

Here is Myles playing 2nd base. I don't think any balls came to him this game, but he did well backing up his team mates!

A "beary" special school project!

Connor has his first ever school project due tomorrow! This upcoming week at school he is having "Bear Week". He had to decorate a brown paper bear, which we forgot about all weekend until this evening. So we decided we would decorate it VT style! I went to Michaels with the thought of buying orange & maroon beads, but of course, I couldn't find any. So I walked around the store looking for something that would work. I came across some felt that had the sticky back so we decided to make the bear a VT soccer player! Connor helped trace out the uniform and placed it on the bear. He also helped with the glitter glue writing! It turned out really cute!

He shoots & he scores!

Connor did GREAT during his game today! He had so much fun playing out there! He scored another goal this game! Actually it was the winning goal, but since the league doesn't really keep score, I'm not sure if you would consider it the winning goal! I got some great shots today. It was hard to get them because I'm helping coach his team and since Kevin wasn't able to make the game because he was helping Jimmy get the hunting land ready for hunting season (ugh!) so I took these while it was my turn to be on the bench! Enjoy!

This is my favorite shot of the day! Connor is running towards the ball & is really concentrating!

Here is Connor getting ready for the start of the game!

Getting ready to get the ball!

Here he is getting ready to score! The first picture is when the ball was thrown in & the second picture is when he is getting ready to shoot!

Connor isn't in either of these pictures, but the ball is going in the goal!

This is Connor after he scored!

Another action shot!

And, I love this picture of Connor running through the tunnel! What a great soccer player!

Connor lost a tooth!!

Here are the rest of the pictures from the night (Thursday) Connor lost his first tooth! He was so excited and Myles was excited as well! As we were looking back at our pictures, we were so amazed at the excitement that was in Myles' face and were so glad that we were able to capture that on film. He just loves his little brother (well, most of the time)!!! I have some video to upload, but I'll have to do that another time!

Connor trying to pull out his tooth!

Look at Myles' face. He was so excited as he was about to help!!!

Here are the boys right after Connor's tooth came out. Look at how carefully the boys are holding the tooth in the second picture!

Laying in the bed getting ready for the tooth fairy! While the boys have their own rooms & beds, they love to sleep together and have been for years. Between the 2 of them, they have 4 twin beds but only sleep in 1 a night! Something isn't right here is it???? They do change the bed they sleep in so all are being used!!

Connor finally asleep. Here he is before & after the tooth fairy came!

I love this picture of Connor! This is right when he woke up & found his $5!
Of course we had to head to Toys R Us after school to get a Star Wars man!!!
