Meeting Victor "Macho" Harris & Ryan Shuman

Friday afternoon Kevin & I took the boys to the Senior Bowl's "Meet the Players" session. I picked up the boys & the Prescott's kids and headed downtown. Boy was it packed! There were thousands of U of Alabama fans there since John Parker Wilson was there. Thankfully we weren't there to see him, but instead the 2 Virginia Tech players that were there! The VT players weren't signing autographs until 5 so the boys played on the inflatables. Then the moment arrived that the boys had been waiting for all week! We managed to get in line early & timed it to where at 5 we were in the front of the line. It was so exciting meeting the VT players. Of course living in the SEC, we were the only VT fans there!!! I think the players were shocked to see us fans, but it was really good! The Press Register had a super nice article on Macho in Thursday's edition so we had a copy for each boy to get autographed. He also gave them one of his cards that he had. I plan to frame it once the VT stickers that I ordered arrive.

Playing on the inflatables!

So excited to get to meet some VT players!

Here the boys are with Macho! I didn't know that the settings on my camera were set they way there were so the boys' faces are a little blurry. The focus was on Macho, which was really neat!

Connor getting his autograph!

So excited!

Connor's school project!

Connor celebrated the 100th day of school on Thursday. He had a project too. He had to make a picture using 100 of the same thing & Connor, yes Connor, came up with the best idea! He wanted to take a picture of the Hokie bird & make it into the VT symbol! So we found a picture on the internet & printed 100 of them (thankfully we could get 9 on a sheet of paper) then glued them the best way we could. It took up 2 poster boards! He teacher sent him a note home saying how creative it was but that it was for the wrong team! She's a huge Alabama fan & since VT will be playing Alabama in the season opener in September, we really knew she'd love it!

Finished project!

The boys acting silly

Connor's birthday party

We had Connor's birthday party last Saturday at the skating rink! Yes, a little late, but I guess that is what happens when your actual birth day is on Christmas! He had a Star Wars/Indiana Jones party! All the paper supplies were Star Wars while the cake was Indiana Jones at his request!!!

Part of the party group~the others were skating!

The birthday boy getting ready for some pizza!

Look at those skating moves!

Another good move! He's not falling, he's just skating with one leg out!

Here's the Indy cake! I can't believe that there are 6 candles on the cake. My little boy is getting so big!

I love the pictures that I captured of him blowing out his candles!

Still blowing!

Daddy had trick candles so here I go again...whew!
Very excited to get some games for his Gamecube!

Grayson having fun too! His favorite part was sitting on Kevin's lap!

Another basketball game

Here are the pictures from last week's basketball game. Connor played on Friday night, which was really nice & Myles played Saturday morning. Connor scored 2 points, and had A LOT of shots. There is no telling how many points he would have scored because he took A LOT of shots!!!! It is so much fun watching him play! Myles scored 10 points. He was a little maniac one quarter (which lasts 6 minutes) when he scored 8 points! I love watching him because he is always the smallest, but has the biggest heart!

Connor bringing the ball down the court!

Ready for a pass!

My mom tells me about a hundred times a game not to do this, but I LOVE to run, jump & grab the basketball net!

Myles getting ready to bring the ball down!

Myles going to get on defense!

I must say that this was the most aggressive basketball that Myles had played in so far. There was way too much pushing for my liking, and I must say that Myles didn't let the other team member push him around!

Random pics from Virginia

Here are some random pictures from our trip.

The boys standing next to one of the neatest barns off the interstate!

Our family!

Myles standing next to a special tree. It snowed a little more on Friday!

Connor at the Blevin's playing in the snow!

Connor with his new bedding! Yep, you guessed right! We'll be painting their rooms maroon & orange thanks to Home Depot's special "team color" paint!

Myles with his new bedding. They both were so excited about the new bedding. They wanted it on their beds immediately! Thankfully they didn't want paint on the walls immediately!

Orange bowl 2009!

We went to Kevin's sister's house to watch the bowl game. We had a little get together! Of course the evening was great since VT won!!!! I picked up some tattoos while we were shopping in Roanoke & all the kids put them on (along with some of us grown ups!)

Connor, Kobe & Myles!

All the cousins cheering for the Hokies!

Kobe is saying "yes that is a Hokie bird on my cheek!"
