Show Us Where You Live Friday-Children's Rooms/Nurseries

Kelly's Korner has been hosting a tour of houses, and this is the first chance I've had to participate. It's all about kids' rooms & nurseries this week! We just did over the boys' rooms earlier this year & thanks to the hectic baseball season we are not completely finished! As you will see, we have 2 young boys, Myles & Connor, who LOVE the Hokies! We plan on painting a huge VT on the wall this summer to take up some of the empty space. Thanks for stopping by & hope that you enjoy!

This is Connor's room when you walk into his room. He has a very small room. (He would never have such a large tv, but we had just received the tv as a gift from my parents when my aunt gave us a big screened tv that was too good to pass up).

This is his dresser area. We opted not to purchase the mirror because we didn't think he'd use it much!

The corner area of his room, which is where he plays most of his games.

And here's our Connor this morning. This room is rarely used as he LOVES to sleep with his brother & his brother LOVES to sleep with him! Every once in awhile they will sleep in Connor's room & when Connor has sleepovers, we can pull the trundle so that he has 2 beds in his room!

And here is Myles' room. His room is a little larger than Connor's room! This is what you see as soon as you walk into his room.

This is his toy area that is not normally this neat!

Another corner of his room. The solar system that you see was a science project this year. It's glow in the dark so we are keeping it for now!

Sweet Myles on his top bunk!

His closet area

This is Myles with a picture that we are planning on hanging on the wall. We have 2 of these-one for each room. The picture is a really nice article that our local newspaper did on VT player, Macho Harris, during Senior Bowl week. We took the article with us on the players meet & greet night & had it autographed for each boy. Then I added a picture of the boys with Macho & some VT pictures. The boys were so excited when they saw the frame!

A close up of the frame!

Thanks for stopping by & having a look at Myles & Connor's rooms!

Happy 8th birthday Myles!

Wow, I can't believe that Myles is 8 years old already! Time really does fly by especially when you're having fun!!!! We celebrated Myles' 8th birthday on May 13th. He'll be celebrating with some of his friends with a sleepover soon. Myles had a great day! He woke up at 5 a.m. ready to open his gifts & call the radio station! More on that later!

Here he is with his new baseball shirt. Connor got one too!

He was so excited about getting some Magic Treehouse Books! His favorite series!

We love that he loves to read!

Opening his Mario Sluggers game for the Wii. It was the only game he asked for!

Connor & Myles with the new games.

One of the local radio stations, 95 KSJ, allows for youngsters to call in & be the Pepsi Pledge Pal. So Myles was the Pepsi Pledge Pal on his birthday. He was so excited. He called in & said the Pledge of Allegiance. He won 4 tickets to the Sugarland Pre-Concert Party at Waterville & 4 tickets to the Baybears game! Here Myles is calling in!

He was so excited to be the Pepsi Pledge Pal!

I went and ate lunch with Myles on his birthday. What a special treat to be able to do that!

Myles & Ted on his birthday!

These are the cupcakes that I made for his class. They are supposed to be baseballs! I used red m & m's to make the seams. He loved them!!!

Another birthday present from daddy. Kevin gave it to him when he got home from work. It's a baseball net thing. He was super excited about it!!!!

I love this little boy!!!!

What sweet brothers!

Myles had baseball practice the evening of his birthday & his teammates sang happy birthday to him when practice was over!

We let Myles decide where he wanted to eat dinner. He chose Ryan's & we invited his bestie Ted to come along with us! The boys had a great time!
