Happy Halloween!

The boys and their cousin Carleigh had lots of fun going around our neighborhood getting treats. They received tons of candy and a few toys. Needless to say, Kevin and I are kind of tired now!!

We've been boo'd....

And that is a good thing! This afternoon we received a really nice treat at our door step. Inside was candy, popcorn, glow sticks and stickers. The boys were really excited & can't wait to "boo" some of our friends!

Fall Festival

Treasure hunt!
HERBIE!
WAR EAGLE!
Saturday afternoon we headed to our church for our fall festival. The boys and Carleigh had a really good time. I didn't get very many pictures even though I did have my camera with me. The boys really enjoyed all of the inflatables. There must have been 7 or 8 different ones. Here a few pictures that I did take!

Last soccer game of the season!

Heading for a goal!
He shoots & scores!
Nice dribbling technique!
I've got my game face on today!
Getting tips from dad!
Looking for the ball!
All great things must come to an end and so too must soccer. I think that Myles and Connor each saved his best game for last because how awesome did they ever play! Myles scored 3 goals in 2 quarters and Connor scored 4 goals in 3 quarters! We were so excited for them and were sad to know it was the last game of the season. A big thanks to Coach Tom and Coach Bill (and daddy) for your help and dedication as coaches for Myles and Connor!

Scott's birthday

Monday evening we celebrated Scott's (our community group leader) birthday. Well a few weeks back he heard a song that he couldn't get out of his mind. It was about a tractor so I thought that I would do my best and make him a cake that resembled the song. It was quite interesting and very yummy!

I'm going to the fair!

Connor's class went to the fair yesterday to see the animals. He said that he saw a horse and a monkey!! I had bought him a new outfit Wednesday and he was so excited to wear it. In fact, he wore it Wednesday night and then to school the next day. Of course it made its way through the laundry Wednesday evening while he was sleeping!

Red Ribbon Week

This week at Myles' school has been Red Ribbon Week. Each day he has worn something fun. Monday was crazy tie day so he wore one of his daddy's ties. Of course the tie had runners on it. He looked so cute.

Girls' day out

Getting my nails done

What a cutie!

Saturday afternoon I took my niece Carleigh out for the afternoon and evening. We had so much fun. First I took her to Libby Lu's so that she could have her hair and make up done. She loved it. She got her hair fixed, nails painted, and make up put on. Then she picked out some things from the store that included rubber bands, hair clips, nail polish and some hair extension thing. After that we headed to the Gap for some clothes shopping. She was so excited that the skirt she was wearing was a size 5 (and she's 8!). She told me that she had outgrown her 3T. When I looked at her skirt, it barely fit her. I could move it up and down! Poor thing! Then we headed to a shop called Petries where she picked up some earrings. After we were done shopping, she said, "Aunt JoJo you're doing so much better on this girl thing!" It was the sweetest thing and made me smile when she said it! She tells me that if Kevin and I have a girl that she's going to teach me how to shop for girl clothes & come over & show me how to fix hair!!

Emily's baptism

Our good friends', Scott and Robin, daughter, Emily, was baptized Sunday after church. What an awesome day. Scott, who is a pastor on staff, was able to baptize her & it was his birthday! After the 11:00 service, the church had the baptism and then a little get together for family and friends. It was called a birthday celebration. There were 6 kids in total baptized. We had such a great time and were so glad to be able to share such an important event with them!

Connor's game on Saturday

Favorite shot of the day!

The scoring maniac came out again on Saturday! Connor made 2 more goals and was so excited and we were too! He just runs all over the field and never gets tired. I wonder if this means that he'll want to be a runner one day. Surely it's in his genes between me and Kevin!

Myles' game on Saturday

Myles had his next to last soccer game this past Saturday. He played very well and played very good defense. I can't believe soccer season will be over this upcoming Saturday!

Our visit to the pumpkin patch!

Today I took the boys on our annual trip to the pumpkin patch at Christ United Methodist Church (where we play soccer & basketball). They love going there & looking at all of the different pumpkins. While we were there, about 3,000 new pumpkins were being delivered! Talk about a sea of orange! As you can see, the boys are dressed in long sleeves. It's so hot down here but I really wanted to dress them in "fallish" clothes since we were visiting the pumpkin patch after all!!!! We're really hoping for some cooler weather, but the forecast for the weekend is projecting the mid to upper 80s!
Pumpkins everywhere!

Our new pumpkins!

Great Muddy=Great Success

The 14th annual Great Muddy Classic was a big hit this past weekend! Kevin puts on a cross country meet every year for local cross county teams from Alabama and Florida. We are very thankful for everyone, especially our Community Group, who volunteered to make the event great! We changed our location from the University of Mobile to Cottage Hill Park this year and we received many, many positive responses about the course, and Kevin is already thinking about how he can make it even better next year!

The scoring Stoots' boys

Connor shoots & scores!
Nice tongue!
Way to score Connor!
Myles going for the score!
Way to go son!
So serious!

Both boys played so well in their games Saturday. Myles ended up scoring 4 goals and Connor scored 3! They both were so excited and so were we. We'll be missing our games this weekend because we are putting on our yearly cross country meet, The Great Muddy!! Here are a few pictures from the game. Sorry for the delay in posting. Our week has been hectic. My mom's back in the hospital. She had surgery yesterday to implant a stint (or something like that) for kidney dialysis. I've been at a conference at the beach that I signed up for months ago & we have tons of work to do for the meet. Funny how you plan things months ahead not realizing what else will be going on at the same time!

Soccer game at USA

The Blue Bombers
Nice & wet!
Friday evening Myles' soccer team went and played a soccer game at the University of South Alabama. They played during half time & had so much fun! It rained for about 30 minutes before the Bombers played so they had fun playing in the rain and so did Connor! The kids played around 7:45 pm and then had an 8:00 am game the next morning. The boys' cleats were soaking wet when we got home so we pulled out the good ole cross cross country trick and wrapped the cleats with newspaper. It really reminded me and Kevin of our days of running cross county and track!

The fire truck comes to Connor's Preschool!

Honking the horn...
my favorite
Me & a fireman
Could cause serious damage!
Me & my class
What a fun morning! One of the local firetrucks visited Connor's preschool so that the kids could learn about fire safety. When the fireman asked the kids what to do if your clothes are on fire, Connor yelled "stop, drop and roll"! The fireman was so proud of him and so was I! The kids also go to handle the hose and spray out some water and then got to sit on the front seat of the firetruck. Connor's favorite part, which was no surprise to me, was honking the horn! At the end of the presentation, the kids were made honorary firemen!!!!

Basketball tryouts

It's that time of the year again...Basketball! Myles had tryouts yesterday and was so cute. It was so funny seeing him dribbling the ball as fast as he could! We're crossing our fingers that we get Coach Tom, who is our soccer coach right now!
