War Eagle & Happy New Year

From our family to yours...
Happy New Year!
We're off to a New Year Eve's party, where we'll hopefully be able to cheer on the Auburn Tigers. Both boys are wearing their Auburn gear and tattoos (not permanent ones!) Hope everyone has a safe & happy New Year. Hopefully tomorrow I can finish uploading all of the Christmas pictures. I think I've been reluctant to post them because there are so MANY!!!!

Gifts from grandparents

This year was the first year that we spent the holidays without grandparents. It was very different. The Saturday before Christmas, I went to pick my mom up for dialysis and found her in a semi-coma state on her floor. She's been at the hospital ever since and may possibly need 24 hour care. This was the first year that Kevin's parents were coming to spend a holiday with us but backed out on coming the Tuesday before Christmas. Earlier in the month, they had sent money for us to buy the boys presents. I must say that holidays without any grandparents was very unusual. Thankfully I think that it bothered me and Kevin more than it did the boys! The wrapped gifts from my mom for the boys included a Spiderman digital camera & a MP3 player. The wrapped gifts from Nanny & Paw Paw included clothes, a movie & a new Bible for Myles (which he loves already!)

Food for Santa and the reindeer

This year Myles & Connor left Santa chocolate chip cookies & a big glass of milk. They also left the reindeer carrots & celery and sprinkled Magic Reindeer Food (oats and glitter) all over our front yard. It sure was sparkly!!! Christmas morning they noticed that Santa "did not leave even one drop of milk!"

Happy 5th Birthday Connor!

Today is Connor's 5th birthday. It's so hard trying to make it a special day for him with everything else that is going on. So before we let the boys see what Santa brought them, we all sang happy birthday to Connor!

Christmas Eve gifts

Our family!
I love my boys!

We can't wait to open these!
Don't we look so handsome!

Best friends!
We always give the boys one gift on Christmas Eve, and it's always new pajamas. Myles has quickly learned that the gift is pajamas. He would rather have a toy, but when he saw the pajamas he was really excited! Connor was excited either way! Daddy & Mommy also got new pjs so it looks like the Stoots' family will be warm and cozy this Christmas Eve night.

Christmas Eve

Tonight when we came home from the candlelight ceremony at church, Kevin read a few Bible passages about the reason for this season to our family.

He shoots and he scores

1 basket on Saturday! I was so excited that I was able to see Myles score a basket. He shot from far out too so we were shocked when the ball went into the basket! It's so fun to watch him play because he is SO tiny!

Connor & his friends

Here are some of my friends that came to my party. My mom forgot to get my picture with one of my best friends, Trent. I don't know what she was thinking!

older than her!)

Pinata Fun

This was our first year to ever have a "real" pinata. We usually have the one where you pull the string, but I have to admit that it was much more fun hitting it! I think that we are done with the pull pinatas!
I'm ready to hit the pinata!

Way to hit it Emily & Sarah!

Go Ted & Myles! Looks like y'all are ready
to be Sand Gnats again!

Connor's 5th birthday party

Last Saturday we had Connor's birthday party at our house. Since he is a Christmas Day baby, we always celebrate his birthday early. He wanted to have a transformer's party. We rented a spacewalk for the kids to jump in and we couldn't have asked for better weather for December! He had lots of friends come and really had a good time. It's so hard to believe that our little baby is turning 5. Oh how the time flies by!

He shoots and he scores....

2 baskets! That's right. Myles made his first 2 baskets of the year last Saturday. Unfortunately I missed the game because I was getting ready for Connor's birthday party, but Kevin said he did really well. He actually stole the ball twice & scored each time. We're so excited for him!

Myles' class Christmas party

A week ago (I know that I'm really late on these posts) Myles had his Christmas party at school. The theme was Polar Express. He got to wear his PJs in the afternoon at school. He had lots of fun. They ate pizza, chips & had drinks and watched the movie Polar Express (one of his favorites!). They were supposed to drink hot chocolate but they ran out of time & drank it this past week.

Parents Night Out

Here are a few pictures of the boys from Parent's Night Out that was a held a week ago at our church. It's an annual event that we try to send the boys to every year. This year we were an hour late because of Myles' basketball game, but I don't think that they missed out on any events! Here are the boys with Mr & Mrs Claus!

Connor's Christmas Party

Me and Santa!
Me & my class- I'm even
holding Santa's hand!
Friday was a busy day. Between my mom's surgery I was able to go to both of the boys' Christmas parties. The first one was at Connor's preschool. He even had a special visit from Santa! He told Santa that he wanted a monster truck!!! P.S. Because I had to be at the hospital at 5 a.m., I was not able to dress Connor. So next time, I'll make sure I lay out his clothes the night before. As you can see, Kevin let him pick out his own clothes!!!

Christmas Lunch with Myles

Wednesday Myles' school had Christmas Lunch for the parents. I was able to take an early lunch (since he eats at 10:45) and eat lunch with him. I decided that I didn't really want what the cafeteria was serving so I just enjoyed the conversation with Myles. He was so excited that I was able to come because that morning I didn't think that I would be able to make it!

Cousins playing in leaves

Myles & Connor had so much fun playing in leaves with their cousin Carleigh on Sunday! We went over to my parent's house, where the oak tree has steadily been losing leaves. As you can tell from the pictures, the kids had a blast and was kept occupied for hours. Even the dog, LuLu, joined in for the fun!

Ready, set, jump Myles
Go Connor!
Here comes Carleigh
