First Day of school!

The first day of school for the boys was on August 10th! It's hard to believe that they are already halfway through the 2nd week of school! They are having a great year & it really helps that their best friends are in class with them!

Connor on his first day of school! Can't believe he is a first grader!!!!

No his shoes won't be white for long!

Myles excited being a 3rd grader! Can you believe it? Third grade already!

Yes, his shoes will stay white!!!

The boys together!

Yes, I went crazy taking pictures!

Look how grown up he is! I miss my baby!

Sweet Myles!

Walking to the school. We had to park far away & walk!

Myles with his bestie, Ted!

Myles & Mrs. Whitfield

The best picture I could get of Connor & Trent! Not sure about the eyes in this picture!

Connor with Mrs. Bowers! Because it was so chaotic in the morning, I went & had lunch with Connor so that I could get a picture of him with his teacher!

Connor at lunch!

Myles was at lunch almost at the same time as Connor so it was a nice treat to see him as well!

He loves wearing his glasses. He only wears them at school though!

Meet the Teacher

August 6th was a really big day for the Stoots' boy. It was the day that they would find out the name of their teachers and whether or not their BFF's were in the same class with them. Myles & Ted were in the same class in K5 & 2nd. Connor & Trent had never been in class together.

Connor in his new classroom. It's the same classroom that Myles was in when he was in 1st grade!

Connor with his teacher Mrs. Bowers!

Look who else was in his classroom....His best friend Trent! We were soooo excited to see that his name was on the roster too! Yes, this was the best picture I got of them that day!

Next it was off to meet Myles' teacher! Here he is at his desk. It's the first year that he is sitting in a desk! He's really excited about that!

Here is Myles with his teacher, Mrs. Whitfield!

And guess who else is in his class?????? His BFF Ted!!!! We were really ecstatic when we found out both boys were in the same class as their best friends! It will really help with field trips, class parties, projects & homework!

Yes, they are sitting next to each other & are behaving fairly well so far!

Love this picture of the boys! Christine & I ordered the kids book bags from LL Bean (my fav store!)!

It turned out to be a great day!

We still don't know how all the boys got in the same class, but we are so excited!

Loosing our front teeth!

Front teeth have been coming out left & right around the Stoots' household! Connor has lost 1 front tooth & Myles has lost both of his front teeth! They each lost one while they were at my sister's house (Aunt Kimmie to them)! Myles pulled his other one out on his own at our house!

Connor lost his front tooth on July 28th. He was very excited!

And I must admit that his looks so cute with it gone!

Myles decided that he needed to be like his YOUNGER brother & start loosing his front teeth! He lost the first one on August 5th at Aunt Kimmie's! Here he is at my office with the other front tooth dangling!

Best friends!

Myles lost his other front tooth on August 6th, the very next day. He had to immediately call Aunt Kimmie to let her know! Check out that grin!

"Woo hoo I won't be going to 3rd grade with my baby teeth"!!!!

Sunday School Swim Party

August 2nd our church held a swim party at one of the local swim clubs. Due to potential afternoon thunderstorms, there were not as many kids there as we thought would be there. The boys had a blast & loved swimming every minute of the three hours we were there! When we first arrived, it looked like it was going to storm, but it never did! We ate lots of yummy snacks too!

I thought I would share a picture of the cupcakes I made for my Sunday School class. It was the last Sunday for the kids before they moved to 1st grade Sunday School.

Myles having fun!

I was so excited to have caught Connor's first front flip on film. It was a complete accident. He was trying to dive but flipped instead. I was glad that I captured it!

Camp KidJam Reunion

Our church had a reunion for the kids who went to Camp Kid Jam. There were water slides & lots of pizza. We were able to watch a video that had lots of pictures of the kids & it sure did look like Myles had a great time. I can't wait to get a copy of the pictures so that I can post them on here! For now here are the pics from the reunion~

Myles dancing to some of the songs. He has some great moves!

San Diego Day 5

Day 5 was spent hanging out in Old Town San Diego & that evening we caught a Padres game.
Old Town was really neat. It reminded me so much of Mexico and the trips that I had taken there with my parents. I found the boys a leather belt, sort of cowboyish, for school that my dad would have absolutely loved! Of course the boys love it too & have been proudly wearing it to school every day!

On our way to Old Town we passed the cruise ship that was in port. This happened to be the ship where a man killed his wife while out to sea. The FBI agents were actually on the ship when I took this picture. Kind of scary!

We ate at a delicious Italian place & had some great pizza. Kevin called his parents to check on the boys & I caught him in action!

We went a little crazy with the plants here too! There were so many that were so interesting to us. I took lots of pictures of plants & here are some of my favorites!

Later that evening we headed to a Padres game. Kevin got our tickets online & since it was only the 2 of us we kind of splurged & got really good seats. We've never been so close to home plate & it was great! We loved sitting that close & hearing all the sounds that you would associate with baseball!

Our seats!

The view from our seats!

Go Padres! Actually Kevin was cheering for the Rockies!

2009 Grammy Nominee Earl Klugh. I had heard him on one of the local morning shows earlier in the day!

Helton was on fire this game! I was excited to get the ball in the picture!
