Cubs 13 Yankees 4

Well the Yankees were handed their first loss of the season, and I must admit, it's wasn't pretty! The team was losing 13-0 until the last inning when they finally scored some runs! Myles was extremely upset because it was the first loss & he just LOVES baseball!

Myles getting ready for the game!

I love this pic of Myles. I have lots of them because this is his ready position! He is so serious!

Every one at the park LOVES it when he does this. He is holding the runner on first!

First at bat of the game. Notice how white the pants are because the white doesn't last long at all!

Nice swing!

I love this picture of him running although it's very blurry.

Safe at first!

Covering 2nd base

Here is he chatting with Ted! We caught him in action!

2nd at bat! White pants are white no longer!

And he swings!

And he's off!

Myles' base running skills are amazing. No one has properly taught him how to run the bases, but he sure knows how to! The coaches don't tell him when to run or when not to run, he just runs! On this example he was on first when the batter hit and he made it all the way to 3rd base.

where he kept running & finally scored for the Yankees! What an awesome slide! The coaches' clipboard did get in the pic but I loved Myles' position too much not to use this pic!

~Secretary's Day~

I made these really cute cookies in a jar for the secretaries at my office & for Kevin's secretary! I found them on Rebecca's blog and just had to make them. I have made them before & actually have a book on different mixes, but I couldn't put my hands on it. These were super easy & were super yummy according to Kevin! I'm not a very big sweets eater, but I love to make sweets for others!

Finished project!

We have a luncheon to honor our staff so we used the cookie jars as decorations!

Cute pics from Connor's ball practice

I took these pics last week at Connor's baseball practice. I love to photograph him during practice because it gives me practice with my camera. I believe that my really good pics are by chance, but I have really enjoyed using the camera during the baseball season!

This is a sequence of pictures of Connor catching the ball! I love his facial expression in every picture!

And one of his profile that I just love!

Braves 20 Red Sox 7

The Braves had a great game on 4.18.09. I'm a little late in posting the game results but thankfully I'm in charge of keeping the book so I can go back & see what the score was! Connor continues to amaze us each game. He is becoming quite the little ballplayer! He has improved extremely since last year!

Playing 3rd base & getting ready to make outs!

Connor's first at bat of the game! Nice swing!

Taking off for 1st base!

Trying for a double but had to turn back since the other team threw the ball in!!!! What a smart base runner!

Safe at first!

Rounding 3rd for home! I love his concentration!
Still heading home!

One of my favorites of the day! Concentrating all the way!

2nd at bat!

Heading for first!

More at third base!

During 4th inning, the Braves had a huge lead so Kevin changed his infield up and let some of the outfielders play in the infield. He moved Connor took the outfield & from this picture, it looks like Connor is sleeping!

Another at bat!

Getting last minute instructions from Kevin!

Kevin says that Connor is asking if it's okay for him to go ahead & hit!

And he's ready!

I love this action shot too!

Safe at first again!

Heading to 3rd base!

Safe at home! He loves to slide just like his older brother!

He just has to get those white pants dirty!

The last inning here was Connor in the outfield with the other Connor! Of course he only sat there for just a second!

He is so excited after the game!

Great job Braves!

Dyeing eggs

We dyed our eggs on Saturday afternoon. The weather was absolutely gorgeous so we dyed them outside. The boys had fun. This year we purchased a sports themed kit. And, it had a crayon so the boys could write & draw.

Getting ready to have some fun!

I love this picture of Connor!

And, this one of Myles

Connor with his "Braves" egg & a baseball egg. He wrote the word Braves on his egg!

Connor drew a bunny on one of his eggs.

Myles with his sports eggs!

Myles drew him & Connor playing with some eggs!

All of our eggs!
