Birthday party at Paint that Pottery

One of Connor's classmates, Sarah, had her birthday party at Paint That Pottery. Connor had the best time painting his plate & we can't wait to see how it turned out. Because of the Christmas break, we haven't received his plate yet.

He got his face painted first!

Connor's Class Christmas Party

Here are a few pictures from Connor's class Christmas party. Apparently I didn't take very many pictures! I'm not sure why or what happened but that is very unusual for me! I didn't get to go to Myles' party because he told me that parents were not allowed, which is the first time I ever heard that! I was very sad because it means that he is really growing up & growing up way too fast!

I found this in Connor's journal! Kevin and I thought it was priceless and can't wait for him to bring it home! His "love" for the Miami Dolphins comes from his bestie's dad, Ted Sr. Of course we know why he loves the Hokies & Auburn & why he doesn't like Alabama!

Here are the treats that I made for both boy's classes. I used large marshmallows to make them & according to the boys they were a big hit! They were super easy to make too!

Cutting down our Christmas tree!

While we were visiting Kevin's family for Thanksgiving, we went to a Christmas tree farm the day before we came home to cut down our Christmas tree. It's the first time we've done this as a family and it just might become a family tradition from now on! Not only did we have a blast but the tree only cost $15! The boys had so much fun running around and looking at all the trees!

Myles when we first arrived!

Connor stopping for just a second so I could snap a quick picture!

Besties for life!

And they are off!

Connor had a blast jumping over this small tree! He wanted to cut it down for his bedroom but we told him we couldn't because it needed to get larger!

Pa Pa measuring the tree!

Myles running wild!

Our family with our tree. Connor wasn't cooperative at all!

Time to cut it down!

Myles and Kevin getting ready to take the tree to our van!

Hard workers!

Of course Connor was no one near when it was time to drag the tree but he was proud of himself for finding this piece of ice! It was so cold there!

And yes, our tree made it the 700 miles home in great shape! We wrapped it in a blanket and tied it tight! Out of the three trees cut down that day by the family, ours was the only one that had a nice smell to it and the smell lasted until the day we took it down, which was the weekend after new years. I miss the freshness already!

Thanksgiving meal with Connor's class

Connor's class had a Thanksgiving meal the week of Thanksgiving. We made deviled eggs for the class & was surprised that they were all gone! Connor was dressed like an Indian & his feather had lots of Virginia Tech writings! It was super cute! Not that we are biased Virginia Tech fans or anything!

It was really hard to get him to take a picture so I was glad to get this one!

Wondering how he is able to eat corn with no front teeth! He managed though!

One more happy smile! Notice the Hokie bird tracks on his hat?

Field Trip to the Exploreum

In November, Connor's class went downtown for a field trip to the Exploreum. We saw the Imax movie & Bob the Builder. Connor had a blast and one of his favorite parts was riding the bus! That's because he never gets to ride one except on field trips!

Love the excitement on Connor's face! Of course we had to sit on the back row!

Fall Festival

Here are some of my favorites pictures from the boys' school's fall festival! This was the first year that their festivals were not at the same time and also the first time that Myles didn't really want me to stay for his entire play time! It's hard to believe that he's feeling that way now!

Connor ready to head outside and have some fun!
