Braves VS Reds Labor Day weekend!

Since we were in Atlanta for Labor Day weekend & the Braves were in town so of course we had to go & watch the game! Matthew West was in concert after the game but because we were out soooo late the previous night watching the Hokies we were too exhausted to stay. The game ended up being 12 innings & we stayed the entire game. The Braves ended up losing too so it was a long weekend for us!!! Here are some of my favorite pictures from the game!

The boys with the Braves statue.

On Sundays at the Braves, kids get to run around the bases after the game, but since there was a concert afterwards, they did a parade where you could walk around the field. This worked out great for us because since the boys are in the Braves Kids Club they get to go straight to the bases & not walk in front of the dugouts. So I was excited to get some pictures of them in front of the dugouts.
Here is Connor while we were waiting in line to go on the field!

The boys on the big screen at Turner field. They were so excited to see themselves!!!

We should have known it was going to be a LONG game. Connor wore his rally cap from the first inning!

We were excited to see Tim Hudson make his first start of the year!

Connor was REALLY into cheering!

He had no idea!

Virginia Tech VS Alabama game!

Labor Day weekend we headed up to Atlanta to see the Hokies in their season opener in the Chickfila Kickoff Game. Although our team didn't win, we had a blast! We started our day very early by going to the Game Day Activities & watching the ESPN Game Day crew. It was incredible to be around so many VT fans all at once!

Here are the boys at our campsite. We camped at Stone Mountain.

The boys walking to the MARTA. We took the MARTA into Atlanta to save time & money!

The boys were excited to be on the train because they had never been on one before!

They kept looking out the window....

in amazement!

Here is the Game Day scene that we walked in to!

The boys made signs using the College Team Paints. It's the same paint that we used for their bedrooms & we were able to save these signs for the boys' bedrooms!

Connor with his sign!

Myles & his sign

Connor trying to get a good view of the Game Day crew

Myles taking a break!

We met some strangers, I mean friends while we were walking the streets of Atlanta! Here is Kevin with Tim & Ted Prescott! We were excited to see them although it's quite obvious that they are cheering for the WRONG team!

We went to the Chickfila fan fest zone & Kevin & the boys were interviewed by a TV station that is from Lynchburg.

We never saw the clip that was on tv, but I'm sure they all did well!

The boys & the reporter

Go Hokies!

The boys also got an autograph from Antonio Freeman, a former VT & NFL player!

We let the boys get their faces spray painted.

Doesn't he look cute?????

One of my favorite shots of the day!!!!!

Each team had a pep rally. Alabama's team was first so since I wanted to be on the front row for VT's, we watched theirs too. They had a huge band. We were surprised that VT's rally lasted much longer than Alabama's.
After the pep rally, the boys met the Hokie bird. I was so excited to get this picture. Don't be surprised if you see this one on our Christmas card!

Getting ready to go into the Georgia Dome!

Connor! Now this kid is very special & when he is sleepy, he is sleepy! He managed to sleep the entire first half of the game plus both halftime shows. I have never in my life be to any sporting event that was so LOUD!!!!!! I have no idea how he slept but he did & I had to hold him the entire time, which meant I didn't get as many pics!

So excited! I found the perfect shirts at the Gap for the game. It's hard to tell in the pics but the stripe that you see is maroon which is perfect for Tech fans!!!!

Kevin and Myles

All 3 boys!

Amazing!

Myles cheered so hard the entire game & made friends with all the people around us!

Me and Connor. Not sure why these 5 pics are centered!
Nice pom pom!
I really love this picture of Myles. I'm not sure if Tech
scored or not, but something exciting happened!
Still going even at the end of the game!
So these are the pictures from the game that are some of our favorites. Kevin and I both decided that when we got see VT play again the boys aren't coming. Last year when we took the boys to the game, VT lost to FSU!
