San Diego Day 2

Here are the pictures from day 2 of San Diego. Kevin headed to the conference & came back at lunch time. We headed to the Gaslamp Park District for lunch. There were places everywhere to eat. There were tons of people everywhere, but we didn't have to wait for service. We ate at a Mexican place & sat outside. It was very nice & relaxing!

This was the view of the Bay when we woke up. A Navy ship was coming into port.

This is the view of downtown. The smog was very thick!

Where we ate lunch!

After lunch we decided to head down to the border for some shopping! I was super excited! We took the train down & it only took about 45 minutes. Once we got there, we had to walk about a mile to the outlet mall. I found some great deals & even got the boys some shorts for school from The Gap.
Here is the hillside that we saw walking to the outlet mall. The Mexican national flag was huge! It was amazing to see how much was on the hillside in Mexico compared to the hillside in the US. Kevin & I decided that Mexico must not have any building codes!

On our way back from the outlet mall, we had to walk over a bridge that goes over the interstate. Well apparently we went at a very busy time because traffic was everywhere! Apparently a lot of people work in the US & live in Mexico. This was a traffic jam at an intersection.

This was the line of people trying to get into Mexico at 6 pm!

And this is the view from the other side of the bridge!
