Anatomy of an out!!

Check out one of, if not, the best third baseman in t-ball this year! Here he is making an out! And boy did he makes lots in this game! I'm not just saying he is one of the best because he's my son. He really is good. At the beginning of the season, the coaches from the other teams were asking Kevin about his third baseman not realizing that it was his own son! I love my third baseman!!

I'm running to get the ball!

It's in my glove!

Getting ready to throw!

Nice form Myles!

Seeing if the runner is out!

Check out this swing!!

I must say that I absolutely LOVE the new feature that I found on my camera. It's the continuous picture feature that allows actions pictures to be taken one right after another. I was finally able to get some great shots of both boys batting! Here is Myles getting ready for a big homerun!!!!

Getting all lined up!

Starting to swing!

And, it's gone! It's out of here! Actually, this is really great form for Myles! I'm kind of sad that he isn't a t-baller anymore and that he'll be playing coach pitch (actually machine pitch) next year:( This is one of my all time favorite pictures of him playing baseball!

Cute pics of Connor!

Here are a few pictures of Connor from when we played the Sand Gnats in our first round playoff game. Since the Sand Gnats did not have enough players and had to forfeit, I didn't have to keep score, which meant I took lots and lots of pictures! Here are some of my favorites of Connor!

I made it to 1st base!

And, I scored a run too!

Playing shortstop (if you enlarge the pic you can see the ball)!

Running off the field & acting silly as usual!

Happy 9th Anniversary!!!

On May 29, Kevin and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary. While we weren't able to do anything special that evening because we had t-ball practice & Kevin had a t-ball meeting, we did enjoy the time that we spent together during the day. I gave him the second set of the Young Indiana Jones movies and a new devotional book for couples. I am getting new bedding for our room, which will hopefully be here this week or next week and there is the ever present gift that keeps on giving, my ipod Touch!!! ! I am so, so very thankful for the wonderful 9 years that we have been married! He is my very best friend in the world, and God could not have sent me a better person! We have experienced so much together from vacations to job changes to having boys to the loss of one of our parents. I cannot imagine how he must feel in trying to help me cope with the loss of my dad. Thanks for a great nine years and can't wait to see what is ahead for us & the boys!

2008 T-ball League Champions!!!!!!!!!

That's right! We, or I should say the boys, did it! We beat the Raptors tonight! It was the most AMAZING t-ball game ever. The kids played 6 full innings, and the game was tied at 22-22 after 6 innings. Before the game started, the rules were that the total number of outs through 4 innings would decide the game & our boys had made 8 outs compared to 6 outs by the other team! Way to go Grasshoppers. Both boys played AWESOME!!! Myles hit one grand slam; one home run & made lots of outs! Connor hit the ball well and ran so fast on those bases you would have thought it was Lightning McQueen on those bases!!! What an awesome t-ball season! I'll update the blog this weekend with lots of baseball pictures and stories!

It's GREAT to be a GRASSHOPPER!!!

We're heading to the t-ball championship game tomorrow night! The Grasshoppers were on their game tonight! We were losing through the first 3 innings and then the bats came alive! Myles hit 2, yes 2, home runs tonight, and Connor got a double and was fierce on the base paths! Myles made some awesome outs from third base & Connor stopped several balls while playing shortstop. Up next for us will be the Raptors tomorrow night at 6 o'clock sharp. Go Grasshoppers!!!!!

The one game I forget my camera...

Connor with his ball!

Both boys with their game ball!

Yeah, I could kick myself. The one and only game, and practice for that matter, that I forgot my camera Connor played 2nd base since our 2nd baseman was out of town & made an out the very first ball that was hit to him. I cannot believe that I missed the moment. And, Myles hit a home run too! Both boys received a game ball, and we were so proud of them!

End of the year party/last day of school

Myles is now a 2nd grader! It's so, so hard to believe! His last day of school was almost 2 weeks ago (I know, I'm still trying to play catch up with the blog!). For the end of the year party, the class had a disco party with tye dyed shirts and all! It was fun for everyone!

Having lots of fun!

Grasshoppers win against the Muckdogs

Here are some pictures of our game from 2 weeks ago when Kevin's parents were in town. We played the Muckdogs & won. Myles made lots of outs at third & both boys played well. Connor even got to play pitcher. Coach Ken has been giving out game balls for the best infielder & best outfielder & Myles received the ball this game. He was really excited since Nanny & Paw Paw were there to see him!

Myles throwing good & running fast!!!

Connor making a throw to first!

A couple of family pictures!

Party time at the swimming pool!

Two weeks ago the boys went to Chase & Logan's birthday party at the YMCA and had a blast in the swimming pool. They are really getting into swimming so hopefully we can put them in some lessons! Looks like they will be having lots of fun at the water park in Disney!!!

Having fun swimming!

We don't want to get out!

Connor's Graduation Invitation

Here is a picture of Connor's Graduation Invitation. The preschool gave it to us and since I only received one, I used our scanner so that I could put it on the blog. I just loved him in his cap & gown!

Connor's Preschool Graduation

Connor had his K4 graduation on May 15. It was really cute and sweet! The class did a play called "Little Bo Peep" and Connor's part was Jack from Jack & Jill. He picked his part, and it was perfect for him. He was SO cute when he fell down & broke his crown!!!! After his he went and sang the nursery rhymes that went with the rest of the program, and he & Claire sang so loud! I was having some major problems with my camera & missed quite a few pictures that I wanted to take. I didn't realize that Connor would be at the front of the line walking down in his cap & gown so I missed him when he walked by! When Myles graduated, the kids were in line alphabetically so I was expecting him towards the back. But, since he was chosen to be the Bible bearer, he was at the front! We were very sad to see him graduated because his preschool has been so very good to us.

Connor & Claire a.k.a Jack & Jill

If you look closely or click to enlarge the pic, you can see Connor laying on the ground!

Mrs. Verma walking the kids down (you can barely see Connor in the background)

Isn't he so cute?

Connor after he received his diploma!

This is one of my favorite pics of the night. Connor with Nanny & Paw Paw!

Partial family pic at home since my camera battery died at the program!

Another pic with grandparents plus Myles!

Baybears' game

As soon as we returned home from Myles' birthday party, some of our friends called & asked if we wanted to go to a Baybears' game because one of our councilmen had given them some tickets. Of course we couldn't say no & when they told us they had 12 tickets, we asked if Ted could come as well. Never have we had such great seats. We were in the City's suite & were right by home plate. All of the boys loved it! In all, there were 7, yes 7, boys ranging in age from 4-8!

Trent, Myles, Andrew, Blake, Ted, Dylan & Connor

The boys showing how close we really were!

The boys with the free bat that was a giveaway! 7 boys with 7 wooden bats can be a handful!

Field trip~Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo

Myles' only field trip this year was to the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo in Gulf Shores. He was so excited to get to ride the school bus. He was waving to all of the passing cars! He had fun at the zoo, too. He was able to hang out with Ted the entire time because of the way the zoo was set up & since the teachers divided the kids up with chaperones.

Myles excited on the bus!

My favorite shot of the day! Myles waving to passing cars!
