Yummy....Dippin' Dots

Thanks to Moo Moo for the spending money. The boys (and us) ate dippin' dots at the game. The boys also got new John Smoltz shirts (which they wear ALL the time!), Braves helmets, batting gloves, & a McCann baseball. They are beginning to have a nice collection of Braves gear!

Another Baseball

Another Braves player, Peter Moylan, was nice enough to throw us a ball during batting practice. We were so excited. We now have 2 in our collection. Our Pa Pa Flynn would be so excited for us.

Connor was so excited that he passed
some kids. He told Kevin that he
passed 7 kids! He really did pass a few!
After the game Sunday night, the boys were able to run the bases. This has become a Stoots' family tradition as this is the 3rd year the boys have done it. It's for kids 4-14, but Connor ran around the first time when he was 2 & ran like a pro! Sorry that the pictures of the boys running are blurry. I still haven't quite figured out my new camera.

Atlanta Braves VS Detroit Tigers

Here are the belated pictures of our first Braves Games. We had a great time. The boys had fun before, during and after the game. Connor walked away from us one time & was lost for about 5 minutes. It was very scary. He might have to have a leash next summer when we go to Disney if he does that again! These pictures are just some snap shots of the boys before & during the game. Unfortunately the Braves.

Ice cream treat from Nanny & PaPa

While we were at Stone Mountain, Nanny & PaPa treated us to some delicious ice cream. The boys really enjoyed it & those nice blue shirts had some nice chocolate spots! Thank goodness for Spray & Wash!

Yummy!

Happy 4th of July

Hope everyone is having a great 4th. We had a small cookout & my mom and sister came over. We ate delicious hamburgers, hot dogs & sausage. The boys loved the watermelon too & have learned how to "spit" the seeds! Thankfully we were able to eat before the rain came.

In loving memory of my dad

Wow I can't believe that it's been three years since my dad's passing. Some days it seems just like it was yesterday & other days it seems like an eternity. Losing a parent has been the most difficult trial of my entire life. There is such a huge void left in my life. There's not been one day that has passed that I haven't thought of my dad & some days there's not a waking hour that I'm not thinking of him. My dad was the BEST dad in the world and the GREATEST grandfather in the world. I am forever thankful for the time that God gave him to me. Today at church the message was so awesome. God was definitely talking to me. He reminded me that I'm not alone in this trial because I have Him. And, this is just the reminder that I needed. I am also grateful that Myles and Connor were able to see him nearly every single day of their life because no matter what was going on or how tired I was, I made an effort to take them to my parent's house because I knew that he wouldn't be here forever due to his illness. He would be so proud of the boys. I know that they are everything that he would want them to be.

Andy Stanley Rocks

Last Sunday we were able to attend a worship service where Andy Stanley was preaching. It was so awesome. Kevin and I have done several of his small group studies & I really wanted to see him preach in person. I felt like I was at a concert! The church that he started, North Point Community Church, is amazing. The boys enjoyed the children's church too. I was able to take a picture of them next to their favorite super hero. The next time we go we'll have to get there early so that we can get a better seat. The sanctuary was packed!

During our Atlanta trip we camped out at Stone Mountain. It was really nice & the boys had so much fun. There was a lake near our site, which made the view beautiful. The boys were able to feed ducks too. We didn't make it to the laser show because we were at the Braves game 2 nights & wanted to get in bed early Saturday night so we could attend church Sunday morning. Here are some snapshots of Stone Mountain.

Happy Belated Birthday Kevin

Kevin celebrated his 37th birthday on Monday, and guess where he celebrated? The Braves game! And to top off his birthday, the Braves FINALLY won! We made a sign to try and get on the screen, but we didn't make it. The fans around us said that we were probably in a blind sight area. We'll try it again at the next game.

Finally home

Well we FINALLY made it home from Atlanta. It was a VERY long drive today considering everything that happened. Note to self & others driving in downtown Atlanta in a minivan pulling a pop up camper- there is NO WHERE to park & there are LOADS of one way streets! Long story short, Kevin thought it would be best if I drove so that he could look for CNN (the one & only place I wanted to go on this trip.) We couldn't find it so we asked a lady who was walking & she was like "Oh turn left on Peachtree St. & right on Marietta). Sounds easy, right? Kevin starts saying how the Peachtree road race is a race he's always wanted to run and about that time I see Peachtree & swing a left. All of the sudden cars are coming straight at us so I just stop. It was not the Peachtree St that we were looking for! That was quite obvious. A guy walks up and says "All you have to do is go right around the corner & you can turn right". Okay so we start going and as soon as I see the street to turn right on I turn and nail the curb with the pop up tire. Just terrible. As soon as it happened I knew that the tire was busted, but I didn't think the rim would be bent. Kevin is ready to kill me at this point! Thankfully we have a spare & Kevin changed the tire in the middle of downtown Atlanta during lunch hour. I knew that we weren't in Mobile because not one single person offered to help him! Here are some pictures that I managed to take while Kevin wasn't looking.
