The boys' school had a small Mardi Gras parade Friday afternoon. They were able to purchase these shirts & wear them to school. It was really nice for them not to have to wear a red shirt!!! It would have been really nice if they let them wear jeans! As you can tell, I'm completely against school uniforms!!!!

Mardi Gras at Kate Shepherd!
Unexpected visit with the Paynes
I was able to visit with the Paynes earlier this week. On Monday Scott's father passed away so I immediately made plans to attend the wake & funeral so that I could be there for my best friend in any way possible. I headed to Canton, Georgia on Wednesday & came back Thursday evening. I was very thankful that Kevin was able to pick the kids up from school. I had a very nice visit with Robin in the time that we had to spend together. It went by too quickly though! I did take my cameras with me & only took 2 pictures. I was so disappointed in myself!
Here is Emily with her birthday present from her grandparents!
Reading her card!
Random pics
I came across these pictures a few weeks ago when I had to use my other camera & put the memory card in the computer. I had taken these pictures while we were in VA. We took the boys to The Dip Dog Stand, which is a small, local drive inn eatery. They are famous for dip dogs which are kind of like corn dogs!

All three boys!
Happy Valentine's Day!
We had a fabulous Valentine's Day! Kevin sent me a dozen long stem red roses that were beautiful to work. Fedex really messed up the delivery because they delivered them after I was gone. One of the sweet clerical staff called me to let me know that they had been delivered so I went back to pick them up. We are still enjoying them! We kept our niece & nephew the evening of Valentine's and had a blast. My sister will be keeping the kids next weekend for us so that Kevin and I can go to New Orleans for the weekend (and we are really looking forward to the trip!).
Connor had to make a Valentine's box for school & this was the finished product! We had lots of fun making it!
Here are my beautiful roses from Kevin!
Our V-day decorations
This is what the boys woke up to! They got a new Indiana Jones book & chocolate baseballs. They were thrilled. And, they loved the heart shaped pancakes!

My niece Carleigh brought all kinds of things when she came to spend the night. Here she is with her softball trophy & medal! I love this picture of her!
Mardi Gras parade!
The boys & I headed to a Mardi Gras parade with the Prescott's 2 weeks ago. The boys had a great time. They caught lots of beads & toys that we gave to the Prescott's since they are in 2 parades! I'm glad the beads & things only stayed in our house for a couple of days!!!!! I only had my smaller camera with me so here are the pics that I was able to get. The boys loved 2 of the floats in particular: Indiana Jones & Darth Vader!!!!
Ted, Myles & Connor dancing before the parade started!
My attempt to get a group shot of the kids! It didn't work too well!
Connor blowing streamers!
Connor & all his streamer!
We are so excited & so ready!
This picture represents how busy we are about to be, but we are really excited because our family loves baseball! We do know how busy we will be, but it will definitely be worth it! Myles will be moving up to the next level this year to machine pitch. Kevin will be assisting Ted's dad, Ted Sr, with coaching so Myles & Ted will be on the same team again. And, they are so excited. Kevin will be the head coach for Connor's team! Connor is really excited!
Yipee, we registered for baseball!!!
Last basketball games of the year!
We are officially finished with basketball & I must say that I'm rather glad! It's been very nice not having to be somewhere at a certain time on Saturday morning! Both boys played very well again in the last game. Connor scored 10 points!!! And, Myles scored 16 points again! He scored that many in his last 3 games! Up next will be baseball. The boys will be in different levels so it should be very interesting & very busy! We'll enjoy the month of February & do all the house projects that we'd like done because we know once baseball starts, we will be very BUSY!!!!
Connor with Coach Britt. I'm not sure what's on the clip board, but Connor sure does look like he's reading something important!
Ready for his last game! Myles got the arm band out of the treasure box at school & he let Connor wear it for good luck!
Going for a shot!
I'm open!

Basketball Celebration
Superbowl Sunday the boys had their basketball celebration. It lasted about an hour & at the end the boys received their trophies. They were so happy!

Connor getting his trophy. He wouldn't let me take a picture of him with the trophy:(
Polka Dots Float Barn
On Superbowl Sunday, we headed over to the Polka Dots Mardi Gras Organization's Float Barn Party. It was where we could look at the floats up close & they had great food. Ted's mom is in the organization & invited us to come. The boys had a great time & we enjoyed the food & company!
The boys playing on a log! They had the best time!
Once inside the barn, the dancing began! Can you tell that Connor is having a great time?!
The kids in front of the float that Christine will ride on!
Outside playing fun. Here is the anatomy of a roll. I was testing out the new camera. I was about 50-75 feet away from the boys when I took these pics.
