More St Pat's Day

The boys received more mail yesterday and were they ever excited! Nanny & Pa Pa sent them each $10 for Walmart. We haven't went yet because we've been busy, but I'm sure tomorrow afternoon we'll head there, and if I had to guess what they'll pick out, I'll guess Star Wars men! Big thanks to Nanny & Pa Pa for the gift cards!

Literacy Night

Tonight Myles & I headed to his school for Literacy Night. . It started out with a tailgate party (because the theme was Alabama/Auburn). Then we went to 3 different sessions. Myles made a marsh mellow bunny, had reading time, and played a word game. During the reading time, Myles' name was announced on the loud speaker because he won the door prize. It is a really neat Glass Stone Art kit that he & Connor can't wait to have fun with!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hope everyone has a very HAPPY St. Patrick's Day. It's one of my favorites because it reminds me of my grandparents. We have very deep Irish roots on both of my parent's side of the family! Here is what Myles & Connor wore to school today. Myles wears a uniform so we let him wear a green undershirt today so that he wouldn't get pinched!

What we're learning at baseball practice!

So far, the boys are learning some much at baseball practice. It looks like we have not one but two little boys who absolutely LOVE America's Favorite Past Time! Connor is becoming quite a good player and has a good grasp of the game. He really takes after Myles and tells everyone that he learned everything from watching his brother! These pictures were taken from practice a week ago. The first picture of Connor is right before the ball hit him on the forehead! The ball was in the air coming towards him!

We're learning about playing first base!

Learning about throwing the ball!

Learning about hitting the ball!

Learning about base running!

Learning from the best coach in the world!

Another reward.....

for being Student of the Month! Yesterday Myles (and Connor) received a card in the mail and inside was a sweet letter from Pa Pa (and Nanny) to Myles about being Character Chief. And, two gift cards to McDonald's were inside so it looks like one night this week, we'll be heading there for supper!!

Easter Egg Hunt

Connor & I went to our church's annual Easter Egg Hunt. This year it was for kids 5 and under so Myles wasn't able to go. We started the morning off with a nice pancake breakfast. After that, Connor hunted eggs, had story time with Pastor Garrett, and then had his picture taken with a live bunny. The picture that the church gave me was so much better than mine. I'll have to scan it and upload it tomorrow. It is so cute. I think that holding the bunny was Connor's favorite part of the day!
I LOVE the bunny!
Ready, Set....

Go!!

A full basket of eggs!

My Cha Cha Slide Partner

Here's my new dancing partner- my beautiful niece Carleigh! She was reading the blog post about Married Life Live and just couldn't believe I knew how to do the Cha Cha Slide so when I dropped Connor off at their house last night, we did it together! She says that I need some work and I just laughed! I love, love, love my niece! Thankfully no pictures were taken while we were dancing- only afterwards!

First of many practices!

The t ball pro!

Sweet Connor getting ready

Does this helmet look too big?
I really hit the ball HARD!

Myles & Connor had the first baseball practice of the season last night & had a lot of fun! We started the practice a 5:30 & it became dark really fast. We're looking forward to daylight savings on Sunday so that we'll be able to practice in the daylight!

Family full of runners????

The boys were begging all day to go for a run with Kevin! They were supposed to go when Kevin got home from his morning run, but for some reason or another they didn't get a chance to go until the afternoon! I noticed that Connor has really good form. I wonder if the boys have running in their future! It's definitely in the genes!
Go Myles!
Check out Connor's form!
Glad that run is over!

Beautiful Spring Day!

Today was a beautiful day here! The boys played outside all day and will be sleeping hard tonight! We decided to decorate the yard this morning with some Easter decorations. Both boys loved putting the eggs out and loved talking about the reason we celebrate Easter! We also made dinner for some friends of ours, who have been battling viruses & kidney stones so I spent most of the afternoon in the kitchen! I doubled everything I made so we had lasagna & salad too! Kevin had a meeting with Little League, and we found out we'll be GRASSHOPPERS this year! We're a little sad that we're not SAND GNATS again, but we can't wait for baseball to begin!

Student of the Month

Myles was chosen Student of the Month/Character Chief for his class! This month the character chief characteristic was "respect". He went to a party today and had pizza. And, he came home with a certificate and coupons to a couple of local restaurants! We're so proud of him!

School Project

Myles had another school project to do this week in celebration of Black History Month. Of course he chose Hank Aaron for his project (we weren't surprised at all!). We were fortunate that Hank Aaron is from here, and for his cover page, we went to the Baybear's Stadium to take some pictures.

Happy Birthday Emily

Today is Emily's birthday. She and Myles are the same ago (okay she's a few months older!), and tonight they practiced for the Grove together. While we were leaving, I asked her to give Myles some advice on how to lose a tooth since she's an expert. Her advice was eat corn on the cob, wiggle it at night, and the next morning touch your tooth & there should be blood. Then mom will pull it out! It looks like she had a good day to make up for missing her party! Hope you have a great one, Em!

Huge Thanks

to Hilary for making my new header! As you can see, we're going with a baseball theme since it's almost that time of year! I am checking out a book from the library since I have the program (Photoshop) that allows you to make these headers, but since I'm not very familiar with it, I'm going to learn it!

It's almost that time.....

This afternoon we headed to Academy to get some baseball gear. Myles needed new cleats and Connor had decided that he would wear Myles' cleats from last year, which made us happy. Well Myles picked out some red ones this time (every year he has picked out a different color) and when Connor saw them he started telling us that his feet were hurting. So I had him try on a pair of red ones that were a size 1.5 (and I thought they would be too big), & after he ran in them he said "Mommy, they're a PERFECT fit" and the emphasis he put on perfect was so cute that we decided to let him get a pair! They both wore them around the store and headed straight to the ball park for some practice! Won't be long & practice will be starting.

Live on stage!

This morning Myles got to go on stage during the Grove and sing all the songs. He was so excited! I was able to peek in there at the end & take a couple of pics. And since Kevin goes in there every Sunday he took some for me too!
My favorite pic!

Connor in the Grove worshipping too!

Front flip

Here is Myles doing a front flip on the trampoline at Hayden's birthday party. It's the first time that he's ever done one! (Just click on the play arrow)

Hayden's party

Myles went to Hayden's birthday party yesterday. I forgot to get his picture taken with her. He had fun. It was a High School Musical theme, which he liked. He mostly played outside and loved jumping on the trampoline!

Emily's party

Yesterday we headed back to Pump It Up for Emily's party. Em wasn't there because she was sick, which was a bummer. The boys had fun. Myles managed to get his first (and hopefully last) bloody nose from a girl! I think he fell on a girl's knee in one of the jumping things! I love the picture that I captured of Connor coming down the slide. He loved it!
Flying Connor!

And flying Myles!

Last night we headed out to Pump It Up for Trent's 5th birthday party. He's Ted's younger brother. The boys had so much fun jumping around & boy was it wild in some of the jumpers! Both boys are excited about Emily's party tomorrow at Pump It Up!!!!
Happy Birthday Trent

Yes, I'm having loads of fun!!!
